Description
Jazz Evening – Jiri Slavík
Jiri Slavik studied music at the Royal Academy of Music in London, first in classical double bass, later on in jazz composition.
In just three years he finished the four year long program with “First Class Honors.” During his years at the Academy he was the first double bassist of the Concert Orchestra under the direction of Colin Davis and a chosen soloist at the Paganini Festival (2006).
Since August 2007 he has lived as a freelance musician and a composer in Paris. He plays African music, Jazz, East-European Folk music and contemporary music.
