LONG LIVE THE FAMILY [Rodina je základ státu]
US Premiere
The latest film from Robert Sedláček (MEN IN RUT, 2010 AFI European Union Film Showcase) follows 30-year-old Libor as he hits the road with his wife and two kids, though he's actually, unbeknownst to them, on the lam from the law. Caught in a bit of fraudulence at his bank, Libor faces a prison sentence and decides to make the most of his last few days with his family. They reconnect with nature and spend time with old friends, all the while staying one step ahead of the cops. Full of honesty and redemption, this offbeat road movie reflects a contemporary picture of modern society.
