12th Annual European Union Film Festival takes place in Chicago from March 6 through April 2 and is organized by the Gene Siskel Film Center, a cinematheque that is a department of the Art Institute of Chicago. In the twelve years since its founding, the European Union Film Festival has become the largest and longest-running event devoted to the film production of European Union nations in North America. The EU festival attracts a sophisticated and influential audience and is a great source of word-of-mouth publicity for new films.
In cooperation with the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in the framework of the cultural presentation during the Czech Presidency of the EU the Gene Siskel Film Center presents the Czech film "U me dobry (I´m all good)" at the opening night on the March 6, followed by a Q&A session with the director Jan Hrebejk and opening of Exhibition of Czech film posters.
