Stories of Czech immigrants who escaped through the Iron Curtain and found their new home in America. The film segments from the Czech Television series are based on two books written by journalist Ludek Navara, documenting Cold War era escapes from Czechoslovakia. The series was awarded the Czech Elsa and Trilobit awards.
