Northeastern Wisconsin Czech Kolache Festival

The Northeastern Wisconsin Czech/ Kolache Festival will be held August 7 & 8 at the Heritage Farm 5 miles south of Kewaunee on Hwy 42.

The Czech kolache bakers will rise before sunup to begin baking at 4:00am on Saturday –August 1 and Sunday August 2. Because of popular demand for the kolaches, this year we will be sure to bake MORE.

SATURDAY:
The festivities will begin with the sale of kolaches fresh from the ovens at 10:00am. The favorite fillings-Poppyseed, Prune, Apricot, Raspberry, Strawberry-Rhubarb, Cream Cheese/Cottage Cheese and Cherry will be available. You may purchase individually or by the dozen. Chicken Booyah will be available throughout the day serving to begin at 11:00am. Czech Beer and other refreshments available both days. Music will be furnished all day by several Czech musicians/vocalists including the New World Brass.in the Threshing Barn.

A Kolache making demonstration will be held in the Pavilion at 12:00 by Delores Kupsh and JoAnn Vogel will demonstrate the Czech Birds-both women have make kolaches for more than 50 years. Delores cookbook “Country Cookbook” a wonderful compilation of recipes and stories of a farm wife will be on sale along with the Wisconsin Czechs cookbook. The foyer will have displays of Czech kroj, other displays, with beautiful Czech Christmas ornaments will be available for purchase in the Board room. Other vendors are being contacted. Admission: Adults: $7.00 for all day , Children free.

SUNDAY:
Festivities begin with the 10:30am Polka Mass. 11:30am a wonderful Czech dinner will be served including: saurkraut, dumplings, Pork roast, coleslaw and kolaches. Then put on your dancing shoes and hit the dance floor from 1-5.

Dinner $10.00 Dance $7.00. Dinner & Dance $15.00 Wisconsin Czechs entertainment, displays and entertainment both days, Saturday and Sunday demonstrations and Czech crafts will take place in the New Summer Kitchen, the 1876 farmhouse and stable. Displays in the stable by the Wisconsin Czechs and someone will be available to help you search for your geneology. VITAME VAS(We WELCOME YOU) to the largest Czech Festival in Northeastern Wisconsin. Come with family and friends for a wonderful fun filled day or days.
