50^th International Film Festival for Children and Youth at the Czech Center NY,

Two significant events in the world of cinematography will take place in 2010.

The Jubilee, the 50^th International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín and the 100^thanniversary of the birth of a world-famous director of Czech origin - Karel Zeman.

Both anniversaries are connected with the Czech Republic, but most of all with the regional town of Zlin, which has been associated with the organization of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth since 1961, and where Karel Zeman began his career as a filmmaker.

The general public will be able to see the projections of Zeman’s films from October 14^th to 16^th in the Czech Center cinema at the Bohemian National Hall.
