    The New York Chapter (C-RS) cordially invites you to a screening and discussion of the film "Moj Nikifor". Produced in 2004, this film has won numerous awards and tells the story of the last eight years of this self-taught, illiterate Lemko naive artist of Krynica, Poland. He became one of the greatest folk artist of Poland. He was born in poor circumstance in 1895 and suffered a speech impediment which prevented him having a dialogue with the society around him. However his deep spiritual faith and social freedom allowed him to develop his distinct folk art.

    The film is told from the viewpoint of a young struggling Polish artist who becomes Nikifor's caretaker, sacrificing his own career and family life.
